KELT hosts the Center for Wildlife and live animal ambassadors
BATH, Maine - The Kennebec Estuary Land Trust (KELT) invites the public to join Brownie the big brown bat and her wild animal friends at the Patten Free Library on Saturday, April 11 at 11:00am. Brownie is an animal ambassador- live, permanently disabled and non-releasable wildlife- from the Center for Wildlife in Cape Neddick, ME and will assist the Center's staff to teach children and families about nocturnal wildlife.Kids, families, and adults will uncover the mysterious lives of the creatures that roam Maine's landscape at night. Ever wonder how bats find thousands of tiny mosquitoes in the dark? Or why a bear chooses to lumber around at night? Join Emily Calhoun, the Education and Outreach Coordinator at the Center for Wildlife, and animal friends to discover how wildlife use their senses to expertly maneuver through our nighttime world.
