RT 52 In Lincolnville Closed Due To Serious Accident Tuesday Night, Kills One, Another Injured

UPDATE...According to Sheriff, Adam Knight, 31, was driving in the northbound lane of Route 52 when he crossed the center line and traveled into the path of the Southbound lane. The car in the southbound lane, a Kia operated by Pricilla Jones , 58 collided with Knight.

Knight's Volkswagen broke into two pieces after colliding with the Kia and he was ejected from the vehicle. Adam Knight was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.

Jones was extracted from her vehicle by Lincolnville Fire Department and was transported to the Waldo County General Hospital and officials believe she sustained non-life threatening injuries.

BREAKING NEWS....Lincolnville, Maine - RT 52 in Lincolnville also known as Belfast Rd, will be blocked off due to serious accident on Tuesday evening, March 31st, 2015.

Lincolnville car 1 is reporting maybe 1 DOA and other was possibly needing to be transported by Lifefight, Lifefight as since been told to stand down with Northeast transporting to Waldo.

One victim, we know was ejected from a vehicle and one needing be removed by the jaws of life.

Fire and EMS units are on scene.
