Rockland, Maine - The Rockland Fire Department on Sunday, November 16th responded to a structure fire at 21 Cedar Street in Rockland, Maine caused by resident dumping ashes. The fire was extinguished quickly with damage only to the sliding.
This was the second fire in Rockland. The fire department had just finished on a structure fire on the other side of town at Steven Greens.
This fire sent one 19 year old male to Penobscot Bay Medical by Rockland EMS with 1st and 2nd degree burns, another transported by a private vehicle. A few units were on scene for a couple of hours.
Maine State Fire Marshals office is investigating the cause due to the injuries two residents received according to BDN.
Fire started on the stove, call came in around 2pm.
Cedar Street fire was called in at 3:45pm.
