From Rockland's Mayor:
Good Morning Friends & Neighbors,
Hope you all got through yesterday (and last evening) safe and (reasonably) warm. According to CMP, this morning only 19% of customers in Know County have power. In Rockland about 40% of CMP's customers have power. If you (or your neighbors) are without power the following spaces are open.
City Council Chambers are now open (heat and Wi-Fi)
The Rockland Public Library has power, heat and internet access
The Gibson/Seelig family has opened the FOG space (the restaurant is closed, but the space is open)
Also, please remember that this is a good time to check on your neighbors. Even folk with power can be at risk from rising carbon monoxide levels due to chimneys that were blocked in the storm. Stay safe!
