UPDATE #2: It appears there was a Halloween party at the house last night. The house was close to the USM Portland campus. Here is a statement from USM.
We are saddened by the news of a three alarm fire near USM's Portland Campus. At this time we have confirmed that there were USM students residing in the building, however we have no information as to any injuries to the USM students.
We are working closely with the Portland Police Department, Portland Fire Department, and the American Red Cross to monitor this situation. The Woodbury Campus Center has been designated as the official American Red Cross support center available to anyone who needs support during this difficult time.
We will provide updates as new information is available. Any USM students seeking resources and

At this time we're learning that four have been killed and one in crucial conditions
UPDATE: The fire is now under control.
BREAKING NEWS: Portland, Maine - A three alarm 2.5 story house fire at 20 Noyes street in Portland, Maine has claimed three people.
This fire broke out around 7am this morning.
Currently, Maine Red Cross, Portland Fire and Maine State Fire Marshal' office are on scene.
