Blue Hill Library Weekly Summer Book Sales

BLUE HILL, Maine - Friends of Blue Hill Public Library book sales are going weekly for the summer, starting July 5th.  The sales will be open during library hours, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM each Saturday through September 6th in the Library’s basement “Book Nook.” As usual, there is a wide variety of good quality used books for children and adults, and most books are still only a dollar or two!

Of special interest this month are nautical books – including building, buying, maintaining and enjoying boats; Americana art and photography; Du – a Swedish culture art magazine; and Shonen Jump comics.

No one has to wait until Saturday though; there is an ongoing fifty cent paperback sale on the Library’s second floor, accessible anytime the Library is open.

Book sale proceeds enable the Friends to sponsor many of the special programs offered at the library, for both children and adults, and to make special purchases of books, dvds, etc., and equipment for the library.  Donations of books and DVDs both for adults and children are always welcome.  Guidelines for donated books are available at www.bluehill.lib.me.us/book_donations.html. For more information contact the Library at 374-5515.
