Rockport, Maine - Bay Chamber Concerts in Rockport, in partnership with the Farnsworth Art Museum and Allen Insurance and Financial, is pleased to announce the third in a series of four Music at Noon concerts, featuring faculty members from the University of Southern Maine School of Music on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, in the Farnsworth Museum’s Library. Music and art lovers are invited to attend this intimate lunchtime concert where they can enjoy a simple, tasty lunch from Atlantic Baking Co. while listening to a romantic and colorful program of Beethoven, Saint-Saens, and Glinka. This is Bay Chamber Concerts’ second year of presenting this unique lunchtime concert series, where admission to the museum, following the concert, is included in the ticket price. Tickets are $25.00 (ticket fees may apply).
This Music at Noon concert will feature three distinguished musicians: violinist Robert Lehmann, bassoonist Wren Saunders, and pianist George Lopez. The USM School of Music faculty is made up of professional performers, scholars, and mentors. Offering undergraduate degrees in performance, music education, jazz studies, piano pedagogy, and music/liberal arts, the School of Music also sponsors programs for pre-college musicians and delivers professional training at the master's level in composition, conducting, music education, jazz studies, and performance.
