CAZENOVIA, N.Y. - The Husson women's soccer team continued their fine scoring form on Sunday afternoon with an 8-0 shutout victory over the Wildcats of Cazenovia in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action at Christakos Field. Husson is now 4-0-0 in the conference and 5-2-1 overall after scoring 14 goals and conceding a goal in the past week. The Wildcats fall under .500 with a 4-5 record and 2-2 in the NAC. 


Another game and another first time goalscorer

in program history as Mackenzie Lambert opened the contest with a 24 minute brace. Camryn Rolfe and Molly Ennis continued the scoring with goals less than a minute apart and Natalie Aviolla added her eighth goal of the season as Husson led by five at the half. 


In the second half; it was much of the same. Charlotte Messer added her second goal of the weekend then Mackenzie St. Pierre and Alyssa Driscoll added goals five minutes apart to confirm the 8-0 scoreline. 


Hannah Kenney extended her NAC shutout streak to 293 minutes after a two save performance in the first 68 minutes while fellow first year goalkeeper, Chloe Baker, made her first appearance as an Eagle and kept the clean sheet for the defense in the final 22 minutes. 


The women's team will look to remain unbeaten in the conference as they travel up north to take on the University of Maine at Presque Isle for a NAC Battle of the Birds matchup. Kickoff in northern Maine is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 2nd.
