July 1 Changes at Rockland Public Library

Rockland, Maine - Based upon CDC and State of Maine recommendations, and the ending of the State of Civil Emergency, beginning on Thursday, July 1, masks will no longer be required in the Rockland Public Library, but continued mask use is encouraged for those not vaccinated as well as in the Children’s Room.


Library hours will also change starting July 1. The Library will be open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 10 AM to 8 PM, Wednesday and Friday 10 AM- 5 PM, and Saturdays, 10 AM – 4 PM.


The Library is moving towards limited capacity in-person programming, but will continue to offer many programs virtually during and after the transition.  In-person storytimes may be outdoors or inside: for Toddlers—Tuesdays at 10:30, Pre-School and School Age-Wednesdays at 10:30, and Babytime- Thursdays at 10:30.


Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union St.   Curbside service will continue to be available on request. For more information, please call 594-0310.
