BLUE HILL – Nature-inspired artwork by local school-aged kids will be on display at the Blue Hill Public Library in December and January. The library’s Larchwood Case will feature a collection of ecology themed artworks created from native seeds and plant material over the past year as part of program with the SEED Barn in Blue Hill.
As part of the installation, community members are invited to stop into the children's section of the library and gather a selection of native wildflower seeds to cultivate at home or sow at Pierce Pond as part of the SEED Barn’s community restoration project. Information on growing native plants from seed will be available. The exhibit encourages giving the gift of native seeds this holiday season.
The exhibit will be available for viewing during library hours. For more information, call the library at 374-5515.
