Bangor, Maine - Monday, May 13th 5:30pm – 6:30pm in Room 221 Penobscot Hall at EMCC, the Automotive Department will be holding a reception to celebrate their continued partnership with United Technologies Center (UTC).
Richard Thomas, chair of the Automotive Program says, “The partnership with UTC will allow Automotive students at UTC to earn EMCC credit for their course work as Paul Jones, the UTC instructor, will be teaching our curriculum there. In addition, the UTC students will be accepted into EMCC and have the opportunity to take the required academic classes for our certificate, while still in high school. For students that earn our certificate while in attendance at UTC, they will have the opportunity to come to EMCC for one more year and complete their Associate Degree.”
Members of both departments at EMCC and UTC will be saying a few words about the partnership and how important it is for the area and their students. Light refreshments will be served.
