...Mainly light snow today with a more substantial winter storm
Sunday and Monday...

.A Weak area of low pressure and a surface trough over the Gulf
of Maine will produce a general light snowfall for today. Strong
low pressure will then likely develop in the Gulf of Maine Sunday
and Monday possibly providing the region with a heavy snowfall
along with gusty winds.

...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING
THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...

* HAZARD TYPES...Light snow today with heavy snow possible Sunday
and Monday. The snow may be mixed with rain at the coast Sunday
and Sunday night.

* Accumulations...Snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches today with 18
  to 24 inches Sunday and Monday.

* TIMING...Mainly light snow during the day and early today.
  Snow, possibly heavy at times will likely develop later Sunday
  morning or early afternoon and last through Monday.

* IMPACTS...Snowfall will produce slick driving conditions
  today. On Sunday, snow will redevelop and become heavy at
  times Sunday night into Monday. The snow will be blown about
  by strong winds, possibly resulting in near-blizzard
  conditions with visibilities below a quarter mile at times,
  especially Monday morning. Some power outages possible due to
  heavy wet snow where temperatures remain near 32 degrees and
  where rain mixes in.

* Winds...Northeast 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* Temperatures...1 to 31 above.

* Visibilities...one quarter mile or less at times.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while
driving.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow...sleet...or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
