New Storm Warnings Issued

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EST THIS EVENING...
...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING
THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Gray has issued a Winter Storm
Warning for snow...which is in effect until 10 PM EST this
evening. The Winter Weather Advisory is no longer in effect.

* HAZARD TYPES...Locally heavy snow through this evening. Heavy
  snow redevelops Sunday and Monday. The snow may be mixed with
rain at the coast Sunday and Sunday night.

* Accumulations...Snow accumulations 4 to 8 inches through this
  evening. Snow accumulation of 14 to 18 inches for the sunday and
  monday storm.

* TIMING...Snow will fall today and end this evening. Snow,
possibly heavy at times will likely develop later Sunday morning
or early afternoon and last through Monday.

* IMPACTS...Snowfall will produce slick driving conditions
  today. On Sunday, snow will redevelop and become heavy at
  times Sunday night into Monday. The snow will be blown about
  by strong winds, possibly resulting in near-blizzard
  conditions with visibilities below a quarter mile at times,
  especially Monday morning. Some power outages possible due to
  heavy wet snow where temperatures remain near 32 degrees and
  where rain mixes in.

* Winds...Northeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* Temperatures...In the lower 20s.

* Visibilities...one quarter mile or less at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring.  Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel...keep an extra flashlight...
food...and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow...sleet...or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
