Conducts community survey to help develop vision, goals & priorities
Portland, Maine - The City of Portland is currently developing a Strategic Transportation Plan in order to create a comprehensive vision for transportation to inform its future policy initiatives and transportation investments. To help with this process, the City is conducting a community survey to help develop this vision, its goals, and priorities.
The last city-wide transportation plan was completed in 1993. Since then, many neighborhood-level and corridor-specific transportation plans have been adopted as part of the Comprehensive Plan. No complete update and distillation has been done, though, for the transportation vision and goals in these plans. Nor has a framework been established for transportation investment priorities. The goal is to develop a draft plan this summer for review and comment and then adoption later this year.
The short survey is available now through April 30, 2015. Answers are completely anonymous and no identifying information will be collected or stored with responses. The survey should take approximately five minutes to complete.
