Did you know that Mae West performed at our Opera House? Or that actor Fred Gwynne from the Munsters got his start here? That pianist and Grammy winner John Legend has performed several times as a performer for the Poptech conference? Architect Christopher Glass and Camden Opera House Manager Kerry Hadley will present “A Celebration of the Camden Opera House” in a slideshow format at the Camden Public Library on Tuesday evening, March 24, at 7:00 pm.
This 50-minute talk celebrates the 120th anniversary of the Opera House and will include a slideshow of historic photographs, photos of celebrities who have appeared or got their start there, and historic trivia! Some little before seen architectural renderings will be discussed and displayed, also. The talk will cover 120 years of memories, performances, community, and architecture.
