Women's Basketball announces America East conference dates, full schedule

Black Bears open conference play by hosting Vermont in America East Championship game rematch

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's basketball team and the America East announced its 2026-27 conference schedule on Tuesday afternoon.

The conference slate, in addition to the previously announced non-conference dates, gives the Black Bears 28 contests for the 2026-27 season with 14 hosted on Skip Chappelle Court in Memorial Gym and one date at the Portland Expo in Portland, Maine.

The Black Bears open the conference schedule with a rematch of the 2026 America East title game when they welcome Vermont to Orono on Dec. 31. Maine remains home when it opens the New Year against Bryant on Jan. 2.

A three-game road trip takes Maine to UMBC (Jan. 7) before stops at NJIT (Jan. 9) and UMass Lowell (Jan. 16). 

The Black Bears return home to hos Binghamton on Jan. 21 and UAlbany on Jan. 23. 

A New England road trip to Vermont (Jan. 28) and New Hampshire for the Buffalo Wild Wings Border Battle on Jan. 30 signals the halfway point of the league slate.

Another three-game homestand welcomes February in as Maine welcomes UMass Lowell (Feb. 4), UMBC (Feb. 11), and NJIT (Feb. 13) to Orono. 

The Black Bears meet Bryant on Feb. 18 in Rhode Island before closing out the regular season home schedule by hosting New Hampshire in another Buffalo Wild Wings Border Battle on Feb. 20. 

Maine closes the regular season with a New York road trip to Binghamton (Feb. 25) and UAlbany (Feb. 27).

Game times will be announced at a later date. All home games will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and all games can be heard on 92.9 The Ticket and online at GoBlackBears.com.
