Rockland, Maine- With this winter storm intensifying here is info from Rockland Fire about the availability of warming stations if needed.
"We are preparing for the storm and the following is an update for the warming shelters:
Thursday- city building will be closing at noon. The warming shelters will be closed UNLESS we see a need to keep them open. The idea being that travel will be discouraged and we will try and keep folks off the road.
Friday- warming shelters will be open during normal business hours at City Hall, Library, and Flanagan Center. Of overnight shelters are needed we will try and staff something based on need and power outage numbers.
Saturday- Flanagan Center and Library will be open for normal business hours and we will again base the overnights on need.
Sunday the library will be open from 1-5pm and we will try and open something for the morning if needed. Keep a close watch on this FB page for more updates as well as 2-1-1 and the City website.
Stay Safe out there." [Rockland Fire]
