Maine’s Red Paint People

Camden Public Library welcomes Kerry Hardy on Tuesday, October 3 at 7:00 pm for an illustrated talk on Maine’s Red Paint People, as part of Discover History Month 2017. Hardy, author of the book “Notes on a Lost Flute,” will speak about Maine’s Native peoples, the Red Paint People, who lived along the coast of Maine and the Maritimes some 5,000 years ago, what is known and can be deduced about their lives and culture, how they fit among the various groups who have lived in the region, and their possible ties to those who came after them, up to today’s Wabanaki.
