BREAKING WEATHER NEWS: The National Weather Service in Gray Maine has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Kennebec County in south central Maine...
  Northwestern Waldo County in south central Maine...
  Southeastern Somerset County in west central Maine...
  Southeastern Franklin County in western Maine...

* Until 730 PM EDT

* At 643 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Winthrop, or
  10 miles northwest of Augusta, moving northeast at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to trees, and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Augusta, Waterville, Fairfield, Oakland, Pittsfield, China,
  Clinton, Belgrade, Farmingdale, Manchester, Hallowell, Liberty,
  Palermo, Winthrop, Unity, Benton, Albion, Chesterville, Burnham and
  Fayette.

This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 108 and 144.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.
Lightning is one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
