ELF Solar/Pedal-Powered Vehicle Raffle to Raise Funds to Protect the Nature of Maine

Would you like to have a vehicle that gets 1,800 miles per gallon? The Natural Resources Council of Maine is raffling an ELF, powered by solar and pedal power and dubbed “the most efficient vehicle on the planet.” This ELF is nearly-new and valued at more than $3,500, with a retail cost of more than $7,000, if new. Buy your $40 raffle ticket by Monday, May 8 at https://nrcm.salsalabs.org/energyraffle; only 300 will be sold. The drawing is on May 12, and all raffle proceeds help expand clean energy in Maine and beyond.

The lucky second place winner will receive a free energy audit, valued at $400, from The Breathable Home in Central Maine, or Penobscot Home Performance in Penobscot County. Four runner-ups will receive: Eaarth by Bill McKibben, The Hockey Stick and the Climate Wars by Michael Mann, or a DVD of Chasing Ice or Before the Flood.
