Immigration Attorney to Speak in Rockport

Attorney Jennifer Atkinson will speak about navigating the U.S. immigration system on Wednesday, November 16, at 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Rockport Opera House Conference Room. This event is free and open to all.

Jennifer Atkinson is a dedicated immigration lawyer committed to those whose desires, hopes or ambitions are complicated by the existence of national boundaries.  Coming to the United States of America to visit, work and/or live is not a simple matter for those who were not born here. With integrity, diligence, and skill, Jennifer helps her clients in Maine and beyond negotiate the challenges of U.S. immigration law to ensure the best possible solution at an affordable rate.

A graduate of Cornell Law School, Jennifer’s legal career began with a focus on ocean and coastal conservation. She worked on these issues in Maine for both the Conservation Law Foundation and the Quebec-Labrador Foundation. In 2013, she made the shift into immigration law in order to represent individual clients and become more involved in an area of law that has deeply affected her own life. Her practice focuses primarily on family-based and employment-matters as well as citizenship and humanitarian
cases.

This presentation is hosted by the Rockport Public Library and offered as a free community event in in anticipation of the 30th Annual Camden Conference -Refugees and Global Migration: Humanity’s Crisis, February 17-19, 2017.
