Camden Public library Events November 3 through November 17

Thursday, November 3

Lou and Peter Berryman return to the Camden Library Coffeehouse, 7:00 pm, $10 admission. The Berrymans are superlative and funny songwriters from the heart of America, Wisconsin.


Saturday, November 5

“A Place Called Humbravana” gallery talk by Rose Willson, to accompany a display of the artwork of longtime Camden artist Imero Gobbato, at the Camden Public Library. The art will be on display at the library throughout the month of November. Originally from Italy, Imero Gobbato was an imaginative, talented, and prolific artist who lived and worked in Camden for many years.


Sunday, November 6

Cyber Sunday topic is “Creating an iOS backup in iTunes,” all are welcome, 2:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Cyber Sundays is a series of weekly technology classes led by Technology Coordinator Olga Zimmerman.


Monday, November 7

Free Medicare information session offered by United Healthcare at the Camden Public Library, 10:00 am, covering Medicare choices, with answers to questions about Medicare Advantage Plans.


Tuesday, November 8

Leer y charlar is Read and chat – entirely in Spanish! This Spanish language reading and conversation group meets at 1:00 pm at the Camden Public Library on second and fourth Tuesdays.

Tuesday Book Group, 1:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. The book for this session is “Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah. All are welcome, please call Mary at 763-3035 for more information.

Camden Philosophical Society Reading Group, 4:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. All who enjoy a good discussion are welcome.

Forum on “Beyond AP: Rediscovering the Value of a High School Education,” 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, presented by a panel of educators including the Maine Principal of the Year Derek Pierce, from Casco Bay High school in Portland; Will Galloway, Head of School at Watershed School in Camden; and Jude Masseur, Ellsworth High School Alternative Education.

Cyber Sunday topic at the Camden Public Library is “Holiday Guide for Tech Gifts,” 2:00 pm, all are welcome. Cyber Sundays is a series of weekly technology classes led by Technology Coordinator Olga Zimmerman.


Monday, November 14

“Enhance Your Natural Look for the Holidays,” Destination Wellness topic, 12:00 noon at the Camden Public Library, presented by Rhonda Nordstrom and Kasey Blood, Licensed Aestheticians at Rheal Day Spa. Join these experienced skin and makeup specialists to learn simple ways you can enhance your skin’s health and reveal your inner beauty.


Tuesday, November 15

The Camden Conference presents speaker Tae Chong, on “Why being neighborly is more important now than ever,” 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, on how Maine’s emerging markets and emerging workforce depends on people from “away.”


Thursday, November 17

The Midcoast Audubon Society presents Howie Nielsen on “Bird Life and Conservation in the Kingdom of Cambodia,” as part of the Midcoast Audubon Society’s series on natural history, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library.
