Paving Operations to Start in Western Maine

Western Maine - Crews will be paving 68.36 miles of road in the western section of Maine beginning on Monday, July 7th. This LCP (light capital paving) project will include the towns of Anson, Farmington, Chesterville, Fayette, Industry, Madison, New Sharon, Starks, Temple and Wilton.

The towns and locations are as follows:

Chesterville: 9.35 miles from the Chesterville/Fayette town line northerly to the intersection of Luce Knowles Road and Pope Road.

Fayette: 2.05 miles from the intersection of Campground Road and Chesterville Ridge Road northerly to the Chesterville/Fayette town line.

Farmington: 2.16 miles from the Knowlton Corner Road and Seamon Road northerly to the Farmington Urban Compact line.

Farmington: 3.27 miles from the intersection of Knowlton Corner Road and Lucy Knowles Road northerly

Paving Operations to Start on Route 77 in Cape Elizabeth

CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine - A paving operation begins this week on Route 77 (Bowery Beach Road) in Cape Elizabeth.

The operations will start at 40 Bowery Beach Road (at the Inn By The Sea hotel) extending approximately 1.3 miles. Motorists can expect lane closures with alternating one-way traffic.

It is anticipated all work will be completed during the first week of July.

This $381,000 project is being performed by F.R. Carroll, Inc. of Limerick.

Paving Operations to Begin in Biddeford

Biddeford/Dayton/Hollis/Lyman, Maine - Crews are performing a paving operation on Route 5 in Biddeford 0.31 miles after the northern intersection of New County Road and extending northerly on Route 5 for 7.57 miles. The project will end in Lyman at the intersection of Hollis Road. (Route 202)

In addition to paving, there will also be shoulder and guardrail improvements.

Motorists will experience occasional alternating one-way traffic along this route.

It is anticipated all work will be completed by the end of August.
