New Resource for Locating Services and Supports for Families in Maine

Seal

In an effort to increase knowledge of the existing services and supports for individuals and families in Maine, the Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS) worked closely with other state agency partners to develop a Family Services Resource Guide, also known as Access Maine.  This online tool (www.AccessMaine.org) launched in April 2022 and includes an inventory of state-level programs that will connect OCFS staff, service providers, individuals, and families to resources that can support everyone in

Maine to be safe, happy, healthy, and successful.  This tool complements the existing 211 Maine program (www.211Maine.org) where individuals can call, text, or go online to be connected to community-level resources in Maine.

For more information about these resources, please see  the Locating Services and Supports for Families in Maine Fact Sheet and Webinar recording

We would like to ask our stakeholders and community partners to help us promote this resource across the state through these strategies:

  • Post the Access Maine link to your website using this information:
    • For help with locating public and state level programs for families in Maine visit www.AccessMaine.org.
  • If you have room on your website and would like to use a visual instead please use this with the link embedded:

                                  access

  • Use the attached Fact Sheet on Locating Services and Supports to share with your organization, your stakeholders, and email distribution lists.
  • Post the above visual to social media with a link to www.AccessMaine.org, or post the attached fact sheet.

Thank you for your collaboration as we work to increase the knowledge of services and supports for families in Maine.
