Join us at SustainME for a hands-on day where you will gain the knowledge, self-confidence, and practical skills to be more self-reliant with an emphasis on sustainable food sources and preparation. Event Details: Saturday, June 4, 2022 - 9am - 4pm at Bryant Pond 4-H Camp in Bryant Pond, Maine. Outdoor skills-focused workshops follow three distinct paths: Hunting/ Fishing, Wild Edibles/Foraging, and Backyard Farming. Spring sessions include: raising and harvesting meat birds, fermentation, fishing, shotgun shooting, campfire cooking with wild game, creating a wildlife-friendly yard, spring foraging, introduction to composting, wildlife tracking, introduction to bowhunting, map and compass, and more. Open to all adults! Come solo or bring a friend, partner, or colleague to learn something new. |
