LEWISTON—The Lewiston CareerCenter, part of the Maine Department of Labor, together with its partners, offers many services to help people find employment or upgrade skills and employers to find qualified workers.
Most services/events are offered on a walk-in basis. Others may require appointments or pre-registration in person or by phone at 207-753-9005 unless a different number is listed.

Oxford County Hiring Event
20+ Employers, all of whom are hiring, will be on hand to talk with job seekers. Be prepared with a resume and to have an “interview-like” conversation. Dress to impress! Essentials of College Planning for Adults
Basic steps for successful college enrollment: learn about college & trade schools, entrance requirements, readiness & transitional issues of adult students, admissions procedures & financial aid. Bring last year’s income tax forms to the appointment. To schedule 800-281-3702.
Each of the twelve statewide centers provides public computers with internet access, Microsoft Office, resume/cover letter writing software, and O*Net software for personal skills assessment. Employers can list their open positions on Maine JobLink and use our online system which matches jobs with candidates. All CareerCenter services are provided at no charge to employers and job seekers. Veterans and eligible spouses receive priority of service in all Department of Labor programs.
