Maine Students Awarded Scholarships from EMMC Medical Staff

Bangor, Maine - Each year, EMMC’s Medical Staff awards undergraduate scholarships to Maine students who are pursuing an education in healthcare. This year, the Medical Staff expanded the guidelines to recognize individuals engaged in a wider range of studies. Nine scholarships will be granted to support students’ education in nursing, occupational therapy, speech therapy, dietetics, medical laboratory sciences, radiography, surgical technology, and medical assistance.


“We like to encourage Maine students to pursue healthcare careers right here at home,” says Ashley Robertson, MD, president of the Medical Staff and medical director of Care Management. “As leaders in the Bangor medical community, we recognize the importance of inspiring a new generation of students to become our partners in delivering care to future patients.”


Nine undergraduate students enrolled at Husson University, University of Maine, and Eastern Maine Community College will receive a $1000 award at a recognition ceremony on April 8 at Eastern Maine Medical Center.

Oceanside Seniors Awarded Scholarships
