Governor LePage Nominates Richard Rosen to Serve as Commission of Finance & Administration

AUGUSTA, Maine — Governor Paul R. LePage Friday announced the nomination of the Honorable Richard W. Rosen to serve as commissioner of the Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services (DAFS). The nomination is subject to the confirmation process by the Joint Standing Committee on Appropriations and Financial Affairs and the Maine Senate.

Rosen, a native of Bucksport, has been serving as acting commissioner of DAFS since the retirement of former Commissioner H. Sawin Millett, Jr. in May. Prior to his appointment as acting commissioner, he served as the Department’s deputy commissioner of finance.

LePage Taps Longtime Legislator Richard Rosen To Lead New Governor's Office of Policy and Management

Augusta, Maine -  A veteran legislator long lauded as an effective advocate for efficient government and for his efforts to enhance government transparency has been selected by Governor Paul R. LePage to head the new Governor’s Office of Policy and Management.

Richard W. Rosen will begin as OPM’s first director on December 6, following the completion of his fourth term as the State Senator from District 31. He has been a leader in the Legislature since 1998, when he was elected to the House where he served three terms before voters sent him to the Senate.
