PINTS FOR PAWS RAISES $1,231.90 FOR P.A.W.S. ANIMAL ADOPTION CENTER

On Wednesday, February 20, Loyal Biscuit Co. and Rollie’s Bar & Grill teamed together to host a fundraiser, “Pints for Paws” to benefit P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center (formally Camden-Rockport Animal Rescue League). It was the first time the businesses have partnered for the cause.

The evening exceeded our expectations. In just three short hours on a Wednesday night, over  200 people came through the doors, enjoyed dinner, purchased raffle tickets, and, like the name says, enjoyed 200 pints of beer to benefit the shelter.  We are excited to say that we raised $1,231.90!

We would like to thank the following for helping us to have an amazingly successful night: Paddy Mills, Sarah Daniels, PenBay Pilot, Fidelis Biscuit Co., Fetch, Zeke’s Dog Retreat, Revival Salon, Maine Boats, Homes and Harbors, Seth Tinder, Greg Thayer, Makin’ Waves, Dogwood Animal Retreat & Professional Pet Grooming, Blake Veterinary Hospital, Downtown Dog Walker, City Drawers, Scroll Saw Art, Rockbound Computer, Jude Spacks, Maine Maritime Museum, J. Donna Asmussen, Green Tree Coffee & Teas, Hamilton Marine, EBS, Absolute Style, Kompletely K-9, Colonial Theater, Wag It, Embody Massage & Yoga, Georganne Bendall, Pine State Beverage Co., Coyote Moon, Pet Food Experts, Allen Insurance & Financial, Nunn's Home Décor, FIORE, Light in the Forest Photography, Paw Print Pet Lodge, Maine Chefs, Left Bank Books, Dunkin Donuts, and Liberty the Dog from Art’s Marine.

Also, we owe a big thank you to our respective staffs for their help with the event.

Again, thank you so much to everyone that attended and who helped to make this night successful!

Editor: David Mills

ROCKLAND, ME – Trackside Station Restaurant and The Loyal Biscuit Co. are teaming up once again for a fun fundraiser for the Humane Society of Knox County. Join them Tuesday, April 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. for their third “Pints for Paws,” a social for animal lovers for the benefit of animals.

The evening will feature entertainment by local musician Paddy Mills, raffle prizes from Loyal Biscuit, Shipyard & Sea Dog Brewing, Maine Eastern Railroad, Fidelis Biscuit Co., Mutt NOSE Best, KDK Apparel Printing & Embroidery, Caravans, as well as giveaways and more. Plus, for every pint of beer sold, Trackside Station will donate $1 per pint to the Humane Society.

The Humane Society of Knox County also will be present and will have their tote bags made from recycled dog, cat and feed bags available for sale.

Attendees of all ages are welcome and are asked to bring an item to donate to the shelter – canned dog or cat food, paper towels, gallons of bleach, old towels or blankets, etc. Due to the location, pets are not allowed.

This promises to be a fun event for a great cause. Overall in 2011, the businesses raised $2,358.63 along with two trailers full of supplies for the Humane Society from their April and October events.
