“Final Draft” Writing Workshop Begins February 5
The Camden Public Library will host another writing workshop with writing coach Lee Heffner this winter. The “Final Draft” workshop is a free six-week series beginning Tuesday, February 5. The group will meet weekly in the second floor History Center on Tuesdays, 6:00-8:00 pm. Heffner is a writing coach, a published author, and MFA candidate in Creative Writing. She says about Final Draft, “Admit it. Somewhere on your hard drive, in your desk drawer, or in a journal there are abandoned story ideas. You’ve had many starts. You’ve also had many ideas that somehow have escaped being put to paper. You want to bring your stories to completion but somehow it doesn’t happen. Maybe you think you don’t have it in you to complete a story. Trust me, you do.
“Join me at the Camden Public Library for six Tuesday evenings beginningFebruary 5, 2013 at 6:00pm. At the close of six meetings you will have a completed story!” Please call the library at 236-3440 to register; there is a maximum class size of 12.
A participant in Heffner’s previous workshop described the class as “inspiring, and comments were positive and helpful. Please do more!”
Heffner adds, “This can be a tough step, be prepared to feel some resistance. Acknowledge it. Come to class. Surprise yourself!”
