There's a lot you can do during the festival from riding rides, crate race, road races, enjoy live music, food and so much more.
It is a special time for the people behind Maine Lobster Festival as they will be celebrating their 71st year. For volunteers who spend their time volunteering from eating tent to ticket taker at the gates. Volunteers is what keeps the festival going.
Highlights of this year's festival are coronation, where one young lady will win Maine Sea Goddess title, seafood cooking contest, marine tent, children's events, entertainment and touring Navy ship.

71ST ANNUAL MAINE LOBSTER FESTIVAL OPENS
Festival officially opens at noon, along with exhibition tents, booths, vendors, carnival rides, and games. This is our $1 day!
King Neptune and his court, along with Haylie Dawn Witham, the 2017 Maine Sea Goddess, arrive on the main dock from the briny deep courtesy of the USCG to raise the flag and officially open the 2018 Maine Lobster Festival. Flag raising ceremony will take place next to the flagpole by the Harbor Master’s building.
Lobster Serving Begins at the Food Tent (Noon-8 p.m.)
Visit our Food Tent for our famous steamed lobster dinners, shore dinners, lobster bisque, lobster mac-n-cheese and fried seafood offerings and our Lobster Café for lobster rolls, lobster wraps, and lobster caesar salad.
