Hallowell, Maine - Artist Kay Morris of West Gardiner will teach a beginning drawing class with four sessions on Tuesday afternoons at the Harlow Gallery on June 17 and 24 and July 1 and 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. The emphasis will be on contour drawing and value study. Students will work from simple still life objects, learning to improve observational skills while putting that information on paper in a variety of ways. No drawing experience is necessary. A materials list will be provided upon registration.

The instructor, Kay Morris graduated from Plymouth State University in NH, studying under the renowned enamelist, Karl Drerup, and she attended the Boston School of the Museum of Fine Arts for two years.
