Rockland & Rockport Fire Responded To Fully Involved Garage, Garage Gutted

Rockland, Maine - The Rockland and Rockport fire departments were on scene of a fully involved garage fire that gutted it at 91 West Meadow, Rd. in Rockland. Rockland squad is reporting garage beyond help, protecting exposures. The call came in around 1:30pm Sunday afternoon.

This fire was 5 feet from a residence.

Thomaston had one fire engine covering Rockland station for mutual aid. They were also assisting Rockland and Rockport at the West Meadow Rd. fire.

At 3:30pm all Rockport and Rockland units are in quarters.

The fire is believed to have been caused by a burn barrel.
