The Blue Angels, the world’s most famous jet team, made their winter visit to meet with air show officials at Brunswick Executive Airport on Dec. 1, 2016.
Blue Angel #7 LT Brandon Hempler of Wamego, KS and Blue Angel #8 LT Dave Steppe of Birmingham, AL made a pass over the airport in their F/A-18 Hornet and then landed just before 3:00 PM EST on Thursday, December 1st, 2016. Media were invited to attend to take video and photos of Blue Angel #7’s arrival. Shortly after arrival, the pilots and air show officials held a news conference.
The Blue Angels are known for their precision formation flying and are a crowd favorite throughout the world. At the show, they will be flying their six distinctive blue and gold F-18 Hornets and will be accompanied by their C-130 support aircraft “Fat Albert” that will also be performing at the show. Their demonstrations in Brunswick will be the only New England appearance in 2017 for the Blue Angels.
More exciting details about other show performers, static displays and additional features will be announced soon. Tickets are on sale now at www.GreatStateOfMaineAirShow.us. A wide range of options for every budget are available from general admission to private chalets where spectators enjoy the most exclusive seating, private amenities and the best view of the show.
