Call for Ice Carving Teams for Winterfest!

The 2017 Winterfest Community Ice Carving committee is looking for ice carvers! Individuals or teams are invited to apply. The Community Ice Carving is on Saturday, February 4, from noon – 3:00 pm in the Camden Amphitheatre.
Please email Cayla Miller at cmiller@librarycamden.org for an application. The cost for the ice blocks is $60. Carving tools will be provided but feel free to bring your own hand tools. Please do NOT bring power tools that require plugging in; battery powered hand tools are allowed. Do NOT bring a chain saw or torch with open flame of any kind.

Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis until we are at capacity (12 teams). Return your application and your fee as soon as you are able to secure your spot. You may return your application via reply email to Cayla Miller, or bring it in person to the library.

There will be an ice carving demonstration with master carver Tim Pierce, on Sunday, January 29, at 1:00 pm. Please plan on attending, especially if you have not carved before.
In addition to the traditional Community Ice Carving, there will events all week long, including the CamJam in Harbor Park, Polar Plunge in Camden Harbor, snow sculptures throughout town, movies, and concerts, leading up to the Toboggan Nationals.
Please join us at this fun-filled, family-friendly outdoor winter celebration!
