CAMDEN/ROCKPORT, Maine - Children, their families, and mythical creatures are invited to celebrate International Fairy Day at Merryspring Nature Center during its Second Annual Summer Fairy Festival on Saturday, June 14 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
This event will feature a variety of family and fairy-friendly activities and crafts. Children’s crafts will include making magic wands, fairy house furniture, and fairy spell books. Face painting will be featured, as well as a fairy scavenger hunt. Costumes are encouraged, and local author Liza Gardner Walsh will read selections from her recent Fairy Garden Handbook, copies of which will be for sale along with other fairy books.
This Summer Fairy Festival is free and open to the public. In the event of rain, call the office at 236-2239 for any schedule changes.
