Portland Public Library presents Teen Snack Chat: Bystander Intervention with YAAPP
Tuesday, April 25th from 3:00-4:00pm
in the S. Donald Sussman Teen Library @ Portland Public Library
Portland, Maine - The Portland Public Teen Library welcomes back our friends from YAAPP (Young Adult Abuse Prevention Program) of Family Crisis Services for a Snack Chat on how to safely and effectively stand with others when they feel threatened. YAAPP educators will use role playing and dialog to facilitate the session. The Teen Library will provide snacks to participants. This Teen Snack Chat is part of our April programming for Sexual Assault Awareness month, a collaboration between the Teen and Health & Literacy libraries.

The Young Adult Abuse Prevention Program (YAAPP) is the prevention team at Family Crisis Services. YAAPP delivers education, services, and advocacy that enable youth to make choices within their dating relationships that are safe, healthy, and informed. YAAPP’s offerings are free to all schools and organizations in Cumberland County, Maine.
