Women's Studies course offered at Hutchinson Center this Fall

Belfast, Maine - The University of Maine Hutchinson Center will offer Introduction to Women's Studies (WST 101) this fall.  Nicolle Littrell, MA, filmmaker and activist is the instructor.  Students will have an opportunity to learn about women's lives in the local and global community, exploring key areas such as identity, gender equality and social change.  The classroom environment is inclusive and collaborative; students' voices, experience and participation matter.  Past guest speakers have included women working in key areas such as domestic violence, women's reproductive health, the US military and the Maine State House of Representatives.
