WSOC: Morrisville State Slips Past Thomas 2-1 in Overtime

GORHAM, Maine – The Thomas College women's soccer team fell to Morrisville State 2-1 in overtime in their season opener at the University of Southern Maine on Friday.

Katherine Hoving (Bristol, Maine) broke the tie in the 69^th minute, scoring her first collegiate goal to give Thomas the 1-0 lead. The Huskies forced extra time with a goal by Jade Shimer in the 82^nd minute.

USM took the victory in the final minutes of overtime then Angelina Rinaldi found Shay Franklin to score the game winner at the 99:05 mark.

• The Terriers held a 6-5 edge in corner kicks.
•  Thomas outshot the Mustangs 15-13, including a 10-5 advantage in the second half.
