Dance is for Everyone!
Dance For Everyone is a dance program for people with movement challenges taught by Katie Tranzillo. The program will be held on Thursday, March 23 at 11:30 am at the Camden Public Library.
This easy to do dance program is specially designed for people with movement difficulties, because dance is not just for the able-bodied. Everyone can and should enjoy the benefits of dance. Even people with Parkinson’s can dance!
Why dance?
Release tension, increase flexibility, balance, and strength.
Experience the way music can help you to move in new ways.
Breathe more deeply and vocalize more fully.
Gain confidence and feel good about your movement.
Connect with others joyfully and creatively.
Enjoy a stimulating mental activity that connects mind and body.
Increase awareness in your body and how it moves.
Feel supported as you explore in a safe and comfortable environment.
What participants say:
“You end up doing things you never thought you could do.”
“I have more creativity than I thought!”
“Dancing improves my mood”
“Something truly amazing is going on in here.”
“I felt so at ease, I forgot I had PD.”
“It feels good to move.”
