UMA Receives More Recognition for Support of Veterans: Makes Military Times Best for Vets List

UMA was notified on November 11th that it made the Military Times list of 2014 Best for Vets Colleges.

Augusta, Maine - Out of the nearly 600 schools applying this year, UMA ranked sixty-third in the 4-year schools category, eighty-six such colleges were ranked in this category.

To be considered as a Best for Vets College, schools needed to complete a 150-question survey. Information on the rankings and methodology can be found at: http://projects.militarytimes.com/jobs/best-for-vets/2014/colleges/4-year/

UMA’s has been recognized several times in the past few years for its support of veterans and current service members. For the past four years GI Jobs Magazine has selected UMA as a Military Friendly School. UMA was also just one of 20 schools nationwide to be awarded a 2009 grant by the American Council of Education and the Wal-Mart Foundation for its work with veterans and service members.
