Ed Geis & Friends To Preform In Camden
Ed Geis & Friends at Camden Library Coffeehouse April 4
Ed Geis & Friends will be the performers at the upcoming Camden Library Coffeehouse on Thursday, April 4, at 7:00 pm. Ed Geis of Camden will form a dynamic string trio with Lincolnville’s own Will Brown and David Foley of Northport. Known for his smooth and expressive singing, Geis also plays guitar, harmonica, and percussion to create an eclectic style combining folk, rock, country and blues. “We enjoy bringing different genres together, sort of blurring the boundaries a bit,” says Geis.
The Library Coffeehouse continues a tradition of bringing acoustic music to local audiences, including favorite folk performers from all around the country, and homegrown talent who put on a great evening’s entertainment. The April 4 coffeehouse will include a lively mix of original compositions, western folk tunes, traditional folk music, and adaptations of other songs written. Brown, a familiar face on the local music scene for decades, joins Geis along with relative newcomer Foley from Northport. “We’ve got a little something for everyone,” explains Geis, “from toe-tappers to slow ballads to funky rhythmic originals. It’s going to be a fun evening.”
Admission to the Coffeehouse will be $7/$5 seniors and students.
