HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates College senior goalie Hannah Jeffrey was named NESCAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week, announced Monday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference, following her outstanding performance in leading Bates to a 2-0 week.

Jeffrey (Greenwich, Conn.) had 10 saves in her first career shutout on Saturday, a 12-0 win over Wesleyan. It was the Bobcats' first shutout ever against a NESCAC opponent, and the fewest goals they have allowed in a conference game by a margin of three goals.

Jeffrey, a two-time IWLCA All-America selection and the 2015 Division III Goalkeeper of the Year, also had 13 saves and allowed three goals in Wednesday's 11-3 win at Wellesley, for a save percentage of .885 on the week.

This is Jeffrey's second time winning NESCAC Player of the Week honors; she also did on March 17, 2014.
