High School Sailing Registration Open

Rockland, Maine - High school sailing is open to all area 7th-12th graders. No sailing experience is necessary. They will sail in 420’s in Rockland Harbor. Practice is on Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:30-6:30pm at Rockland Community Sailing/The Apprentice Shop. It starts on March 31 and will run for 8 weeks ending on May 21st. Students will participate in area regattas on weekends – a schedule the coach will determine. Cost is $285/pp. Scholarships available. Rockland Community Sailing is an integral part of mid-coast Maine’s sailing community. Established in 1998 as a summer youth program, we have grown from ten boats to over thirty in 2015. RCS now offers classes for youth, teens and adults.

Youth students sail in 14′ Collegiate sloops and 8′ optimist prams. Adult students learn in keel boats ranging from 20′-26′.
