South Course will offer FootGolf from October 24 - November 30
Portland, Maine - Mayor Michael Brennan kicked off a new sport at Riverside Golf Course this morning – FootGolf. The sport will be offered at Riverside’s South Course from October 24 through November 30. Portland’s golf course is the first one in Maine to offer the sport, which combines soccer and golf. It's played with a soccer ball on a golf course, but with separate greens. The goal? Get the ball in the hole with the fewest strokes (kicks) possible. Bring your own soccer ball or rental one to play.
Riverside's South Course typically closes after Columbus Day, so the introduction of FootGolf is a great way to activate the course before winter arrives.
