Snow Themed Pop-up Books: A Workshop for Kids

Blue Hill, Maine - Artistic bookmaker Anne-Claude Cotty will do a pop-up bookmaking workshop for children ages 7 to 13 at the Blue Hill Public Library on Saturday January 19th from 9:30 AM to noon. The theme will be snow, and Anne Claude will read a variety of poems about winter weather and activities to inspire drawings which will be used to create pop-up books.

Anne-Claude Cotty is a long-time Stonington artist and teacher, with a special interest in working with images and words in artist-made books.  Well-known for her artists’ books and workshops, she exhibits her work periodically at the Blue Hill Library, along with a group of artists who learned from her.

The program is free but space is limited and registration is required.  Participants can sign up using the events calendar at www.bhpl.net or by calling the Library at 375-5515.
