“Living with Trees in the Urban Community” October 8

Arborist Dominic Fontaine will present “Living with Trees in the Urban Community,” a talk and slideshow,  on Saturday, October 8, at 2:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Fontaine is a licensed arborist who has been practicing tree preservation since 1996. Native to Camden, he has partaken in the most extreme tree care and removal operations along the Maine coast and in Boston, partnering with over 15 companies during the past 20 years, from forest management on remote Maine islands to pruning and cabling trees in the most populated areas in the City of Boston.

Topics that will be covered in the talk on October 8 include: History of Tree Care; Types of Land Owners & Professionals; Forest Trees versus Urban Trees; Tree Myths; Identifying Tree Hazards; and Types of Pruning & Modern Methods. Fontaine hopes to encourage an open discussion and invites you to bring your own photos with questions. Fontaine’s company, Cliff Side Tree Service, is a full service tree cutting and pruning company specializing in tree preservation serving the Boston, Maine, and Maine Islands areas.
