2016 YOUNG ARTIST SHOWCASE

Maine Media Gallery is pleased to announce our second annual
Young Artist Showcase. The exhibition features selected work by students (ages 14-18) who have participated in the Young Artist Program at Maine Media Workshops + College. The program offers students the opportunity to delve into photography through an intensive, creative experience, learning from world-renowned photographers and developing their own artistic voices. Submissions include both analog and digital work, with subjects ranging from portraits to landscapes to still life. The result is an exhibition showcasing the diverse and innovative talent of today's young artists.

We are pleased to announce that 40% of all sales will be donated directly to the Maine Media Workshops + College Scholarship Fund. The MMW+C Scholarship Fund works to provide more opportunities to all deserving artists and storytellers.

Maine Media Gallery showcases photographic and multi-media work of students, alumni, and faculty, as well as innovative media artists pertinent to our community. The gallery offers an outstanding collection of donated faculty work for sale, with proceeds benefiting Maine Media's scholarship fund. Additionally, the Maine Media Gallery houses Tim Whelan's bookstore, a nationally recognized bookstore for its impressive collection of fine art photography books.
