Speakers for the short ceremony in Chapman Park were Master of Ceremonies Walker Hutchins, Marshal Rev. Paul Munro and Maine author and poet Carol Bachoffner.
Taking part in the parade were U.S. Coast Guard Color Guard, the U.S. Marine Corp, American Legion and Veterans of the Armed Services, Boy Scouts, Rockland Police, Knox County Sheriffs and the Bay Winds North Wind Ensemble.
Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering the people who died while serving in the country's armed forces.
