COYOTES ASSIGN BROWN TO PORTLAND

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned forward Chris Brown to the Portland Pirates, the club's American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).


The 22-year-old Brown has appeared in four games with the Coyotes this season, collecting 17 penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-foot-2, 215-pound native of Flower Mound, Texas has also played in 10 games with the Pirates this season, totaling 3-5-8 and a plus-5 rating. He ranked second on the team in scoring at the time of his recall.


Brown was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the second round (36th overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.
